Corbin Picked Kenzie. The Cop Who Quit the Force Was Sent Home.

Sean Reifel quit the police force to go on Love Island — and bombshell Corbin ended his game in 30 seconds by picking the one girl Sean was counting on. The cop-who-quit becomes the first islander dumped

Sean Reifel resigned from the Bethlehem Police Department to go on Love Island USA. His mayor went on TMZ Live to complain about it. None of that mattered Sunday night, because bombshell Corbin Mimis walked into the villa, picked Kenzie — the one girl Sean was counting on — and the whole recoupling fell like dominoes after that.
Every remaining woman chose someone else. Sean stood alone at the fire pit. Ariana Madix confirmed his departure: first dumped, Season 8.

Sean's exit stings precisely because it was preventable. He had early chemistry with Beatriz, but lost her to bombshell Gabriel. He spent the vulnerable period banking on Kenzie instead of pulling every available woman for chats. Then Corbin arrived and took that option in under 30 seconds. The internet's verdict: he was too loyal to one option in a game that rewards flexibility. Reddit called it immediately. 1
The new couples after recoupling: Corbin & Kenzie, Aniya & KC, Melanie & Sincere, Kayda & Zach, Beatriz & Gabriel, Trinity & Bryce.

Also this week: "Beet-hoven" gets red-buzzed twice on AGT

America's Got Talent Season 21 premiered June 2 with three Golden Buzzers in one night — a first for a premiere episode. Simon Cowell pressed his for 14-year-old Lai Noelle and then loudly celebrated stealing the moment from Sofia Vergara, who had been about to do the same thing. Terry Crews hit his Golden Buzzer for the Acro Canine Crew before Vergara could again. She got swooped twice. 2
The best rejection of the night belonged to Josh Sherman, a professional trumpet player who decided to play a beet as a musical instrument. The judges buzzed him immediately. The audience chanted "one more time." Simon let it happen. Josh pulled out an apple and played "Ch-apple Roan's Pink Pony Club." Four Red Buzzers again. Sofia Vergara delivered the debrief: "I think this is the first time on AGT we gave the Red Buzzer two times."
AGT airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC, so Episode 2 is tonight.

Melanie is still a force of nature in the villa

While Sean packed his bags, Melanie and Beatriz had a post-confrontation fallout that played out in Episode 5's aftermath. Melanie had already spent Episode 4 demanding "10 minutes alone" after clashing with Beatriz over Sincere. Now she chose Sincere at the recoupling — not because she's all-in, but because Corbin picked Kenzie first and left her with fewer options. Sincere's camp online: he should drop her the moment a better connection opens. Melanie's camp: she's just great television and everyone knows it. 3

Peter McFerrin has a Tournament of Champions spot locked in

Peter McFerrin won his fifth straight Jeopardy! game on June 5, bringing his total to $116,198 and securing a guaranteed spot in the season-ending Tournament of Champions. The Final Jeopardy clue asked about a 19th-century memorial at the U.S. Naval Academy — none of the three players knew the answer was "What are the Barbary Wars?" McFerrin still won by entering with the largest lead. 4
He joins Jamie Ding (31 games), Harrison Whitaker (14 games), Tristan Williams (10 games), and Chris D'Angelo (8 games) — the latter being the reigning champ McFerrin knocked out on June 1. McFerrin's own streak appears to be the newest one to track heading into the final weeks of the regular season.
